Steps of operation:

1. Light the sage: Use a lighter or candle to light the Palo Santo bundle, wait for it to smoke, then extinguish the flame and let the smoke slowly rise. 

2. Setting Intentions: Before purification, you can meditate or set intentions in your mind, such as “clear all negative energies and bring peace and harmony.

3. Incense: Use your hands or a feather to guide the smoke around the space, yourself, or an object. 

4. Dispose of safely when finished: Make sure to extinguish the sage embers, which can be placed in a ceramic bowl or shell to prevent the risk of fire.
