Cedar Smudging

1. Light the cedar: Use a lighter or candle to light the cedar bundle. Burn it for a few seconds, then blow it out, letting the smoke rise slowly.

2. Setting Intentions: While purifying, you can meditate or set intentions in your mind.

3. Smoke the way：Use your hand or a feather to guide the smoke around a room, person or object to purify it.
If you are using it to purify a space, move in a clockwise direction around the room, focusing the smoke on doorways, windows, corners and other areas where energy tends to build up. If you are using it for personal purification, you can let the smoke surround the whole body, especially the head, chest, palms, soles of the feet and other energy centres. When you have finished, put out the burning cedar completely with a ceramic bowl, shell or gravel to be on the safe side.
